Inhouse

1. Introduction

Inhouse (“Inhouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a platform for friends and communities to organize matches, log results, and track rankings for any sport or game. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with our website at inhouseranks.com, our app at app.inhouseranks.com, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not access or use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect the information needed to set it up and authenticate you, such as your display name (handle), an email address or phone number used for sign-in, an optional profile photo, and an optional birthday. We use this to provision your account, secure your sessions, and let other members of your groups recognize you.

2.2 Gameplay and Community Data

The Service is built around recording activity. We collect and store the content you and your groups create, including:

  • groups you create or join, group names, and your role within them;
  • matches you record — participants, teams, scores, outcomes, and timestamps;
  • ratings and statistics derived from match results (for example Elo and Glicko-2 ratings, win/loss records, and streaks); and
  • invitations you send or accept to join a group.

Some of this information is visible to other members of the groups you belong to — that visibility is the core purpose of the Service.

2.3 Usage and Device Data

When you use the Service, we and our infrastructure providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, and the pages or screens you interact with. We use this information to keep the Service secure, diagnose problems, and understand how it is used.

2.4 Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure traffic with privacy-preserving analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service: create and manage your account, record matches, and compute rankings and statistics.
  • Communicate with you: send account, security, and transactional messages, and respond to your requests.
  • Improve and secure: monitor performance, prevent abuse and fraud, debug issues, and develop new features.
  • Legal compliance: meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With other members: your handle, profile photo, and match and ranking activity are visible to members of the groups you join.
  • Service providers: we use vetted hosting, authentication, storage, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
  • Legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Inhouse, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the continuity of this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time as described below.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to close your account, contact us at support@inhouseranks.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. International Users

We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
